Tjasa Iris is a Slovenian artist. She started organizing and holding painting workshops in 1996.
She studied Fine Art in Florence, Italy, at the International School of Fine Art Fortman Studios, later on at Staffordshire Polytecnic, Stoke-on-Trent, England, Accademia di Belle Arti, Venice, Italy and earned her M.F.A. in Painting from Fine Art Academy Minerva, Groningen, The Netherlands.
She had numerous exhibitions in Slovenia, Italy, The Netherlands, France and South Africa.
She was sent by her government to represent Slovenia at the prestigious residency for artists Cite' Internationale des Art in Paris, France in 2000 and she returned in Nov. and Dec. 2005 for a personal show at the Gallery of the Cite'.
Now she lives and works between Venice, Paris and her Villa Flora in the Mediterranean Wine Country of Slovenia. Her Villa Flora is also a Bed & Breakfast as well as an Artist Retreat.
During the course of 15 years spent in Italy, she has acquired a fluency in Italian and a wealth of knowledge in art history, food, wine and general tourism that will provide invaluable assistance to anyone planning to visit this historic part of the world.
During her stay abroad she has also acquired a fluency in English and French.
